In 1934 the Library opens in the Casa de la Junta de Museos in the Poble Espanyol. In 1936 it travels to Olot, along with the artistic and documentary patrimony, and is installed in the Solà-Morales House until 1939, when it returns to the rooms in the Poble Espanyol.

Esteve Cladellas publishes a long article in the Butlletí dels Museus d'Art about the Library's new installations and the Cabinet of Drawings with a lot of photographs, preceded by a summary of its history, which has been fundamental for learning about the centre and has become the basis for subsequent studies.
