In 1934 the Library opens in the Casa de la Junta de Museos in the Poble Espanyol. In 1936 it travels to Olot, along with the artistic and documentary patrimony, and is installed in the Solà-Morales House until 1939, when it returns to the rooms in the Poble Espanyol.

On December 5th the Library of Art opens, already installed in the Casal de la Junta de Museos, with the temporary president of the Generalitat de Catalunya and the temporary mayor of the city of Barcelona in attendance.
