Medieval Romanesque Art
Image of the Virgin with the Child, carved in wood and remains with original polychromy, that initially were covering its entirety. The composition answers to the type of Sedes Sapientiae, with an enthroned Maria and with the Child sat almost in the center of the skirt of the Virgin, in a totally frontal composition. The Child preserves part of his crown, which in case of the figure of the mother, has disappeared. About polychromy that remains, stand out the architectural forms of the laterals of the throne and four red vertical bands on yellow bottom of the back, of heraldic sense.
