As a doctor of the Church, Saint Jerome appears sitting at a lectern with an open book on it and next to a writing desk, removing the thorn from the tame lion's paw. As is customary, he is dressed as a cardinal, although, as is well known, he was never actually made one.Works of the set.Saint Michael Archangel, Pedro García de Benabarre, 1455-1480.
