Catalogue published for the exhibition of the same name that can be seen at the MNAC from March 27th to June 24th 2007. To mark the acquisition of the Naseiro Collection for the Museo del Prado, the Madrid museum has wished to exhibit this recently incorporated collection at the Museu Nacional d?Art de Catalunya, along with twenty more works from its own collections and those of the MNAC. It is a look at Spanish painting in the still life genre from the beginning of the 17th century to the middle of the 19th century. The catalogue includes all the pieces in the exhibition, along with the biographies of the artists and commentaries on the pieces. It also includes three articles on the subject of the still life genre in relation to the collections of the two museums and of the Naseiro Collection.
