Focusing on the industrialist Lluís Plandiura and the Modernista artist Alexandre de Riquer as collectors, the publication assesses how important the purchase, in 1903 and 1921, of their respective collections was for the formation of the MNAC?s collection of posters. The book includes studies by several specialists, analysts of advertising art, along with documentary information about the activity of Riquer and Plandiura as collectors. The work is completed with the listing of one hundred of the more than six hundred posters from both collections that are conserved in the Cabinet of Drawings and Prints.
