Agnus Dei. L'art romànic i els artistes del segle XX
Agnus Dei. Romanesque Art and Twentieth-Century Artists A review, based on some thirty works, of the way in which 20th-century art escapes from Naturalism and returns to the Romanesque: in its schematic simplicity, in its use of a single plane, in its arbitrary arrangement of colours, in the expressive value given to the line, in its graphic dimension, and the gestures of its figures. The works are by both nationally and internationally known artists such as Marc Chagall, Auguste Herbin, Paul Klee, Joan Miró, Francis Picabia, Pablo Picasso, Georges Roualt, Henri Rousseau, Joseph Beuys, Antoni Tàpies, Joan Brotat, Modest Cuixart, Josep Guinovart, Joan Ponç, Josep Maria de Sucre, Frederic Amat, Jordi Benito, Víctor Mira, Miralda and Zush. The whole is brought together in twenty chapters, each one dedicated to a specific artist and written by a well-known author; and at the end, a specific bibliography and the Spanish and English translations of the texts.
