On May 19th, and as part of the French initiative, Museums Night, which is celebrated simultaneously all over Europe, the Museu Nacional d'Art de Catalunya is opening its doors and admission is free from 7 pm to 1 am. There will be free activities:

At the doors of the Renaissance. Do you want to know what a day would be like in the life of a well-to-do family of merchants from Barcelona in the 15th century? We will travel through time to learn from the protagonists: how they lived, what they ate, how they were entertained and how the people of that time fought. Scenes of historical recreation, by Hereus de la història, from 8pm to 1am in the Oval Hall and other spaces of the museum.

Comments on site. Comments in the rooms of some works of the Renaissance and Baroque collection and the temporary exhibition William Morris and the Arts & Crafts movement in Great Britain.

Ego sum lux comic. Graphic installation in the Hall of the museum. Comic gives life to some of the artworks of the Romanesque and Gothic collections.
